Hello and welcome to the last newsletter of this half term! In this edition we have a reminder about upcoming changes to your service provision, information on online safety, a reminder for examination officers, a look forward to our summer training schedule, an opportunity for you to provide feedback, and guidance on setting up mock exams.

Change – Only 5 term-time weeks to go!

This is now urgent. We are aware of nearly 40 schools that decided to change services or service provider through this coming year, and we are yet to hear from their new provider. Now is the time to check that everything is in-place to give you continuation of service provision.

If you are staying with Scomis check-in with your account manager if you are unsure of anything. If you are moving and your new provider has things in-hand then call your new provider in the first instance, we will of course assist with any information regarding your move.

If you are moving and we have not heard from your new provider your Scomis account manager will call you to check on your current situation, or you can contact us on 01392 385300 and press option 5.

Online Safety

New research from the UK Safer Internet Centre (UKSIC) found that almost half of 8 to 17 year olds (46%) have been scammed online and 9%, including 8 year olds, have lost money to an online scam.

Reminder to all Examination Officers!

The deadline date for submission of your Summer Exams 2025 entries is the 21st February 2025:

  • Avoid late entry penalties and make sure your Summer Exams are submitted before the 21st February 2025
