Scomis MIS Discovery Days
Scomis acknowledges the importance for schools to start considering options for their MIS provision, particularly as you come towards the end of your existing contracts. Even if you have a number of years left to run on your contract, we believe that starting to make these decisions now will give schools adequate time to research their options.
Scomis is an accredited support partner for three of the market leading MIS and is here to help as we are hosting Discovery Days with Arbor, Bromcom and SIMS.

SIMS/Next Gen – Thursday 23rd May
SIMS Next Gen MIS 10:30am – 11:30am
Note: If you are a Devon maintained school, you may be aware that Devon County Council is shortly changing its finance system. These Discovery Days will give Devon maintained schools the opportunity to view alternative MIS systems and their respective finance solutions.
Changes when contacting the Scomis Service Desk
In our newsletter on 18th April, we reminded you of Scomis’ MIS-agnostic strategy. As part of that journey, we have added support for Bromcom to our existing Arbor and SIMS support.
To ensure that you can speak with an analyst who can best assist with your enquiry, we are adding options on our telephony service for you to select from.
From Wednesday 12th June, when you telephone the Service Desk on 01392 385300 you will be greeted with the normal introduction and then the following options:
Please choose from the following options:
- For Arbor support, press 1.
- For Bromcom support, press 2.
- For SIMS support, press 3.
- For all other enquiries, press 6.
Please note that you can press the option number you require without waiting to hear the message all the way to the end.
In the lead up to the change, reminders about the change will be published on MyScomis, our self-service portal, and on our website.

I’m glad you asked! Remember that the return date for the summer census is Wednesday 12th June. You can find all up-to-date information and guidance on the Summer Census in our FAQ, and you can even register for our School Census digital learning course which is free for all Scomis customers.
